UNN Law Lecturer Commits Suicide

Tragedy struck at the Enugu Campus of the University of Nigeria, (UNEC) last weekend as a lecturer at the institution's Law Faculty, Dr Bede Opata committed suicide over yet-to-be ascertained reasons.
The lecturer who was until his death, the son of a former Commissioner in the old Anambra state, Chief Cletus Opata hailed from Nsukka area of Enugu state.
Informed sources at the university said the deceased had taken his life in his apartment within the town on Saturday night but his body was discovered on Sunday.
The 38-year old Opata who held a Doctorate Degree in Law was said to have been employed as a lecturer in the university in 2011.

  1. How are we sure that the man commited suicide? He could have been killed,anyhow,it is bad to die prematuredly. May God forgive him.
