The newly promoted senior staff of the Federal Road
Safety Commission will be decorated with their new ranks today.
Information obtained from the Agency by CKN Nigeria showed
that the new officers comprising three DCM (Deputy Corps Marshals) and ACM
(Assistant Corps Marshals) will be decorated by the outgoing Corps Marshal of
the Agency,Osita Chidoka who has been nominated as a Minister of the Federal
Republic by President Goodluck Ebele Jonthan.
Among those to be decorated is the highest ranking female
staff of the Agency,Mrs Ojeme Ewhrudjakpor who has been promoted to the rank of
Deputy Corps Marshal (the second highest rank of the agency).
Another key member of staff that will wear his new rank
today is the Spokesman of FRSC,Jonas Agwu who has been elevated as an Assistant
Corps Marshal.
Meanwhile ,a high level of politicking is currently going
on Abuja on who would take over from Osita Chidoka.
While many members of staff of the Agency will prefer
current member of staff to take over, sources who spoke with CKN Nigeria on
condition of anonymity said the Presidency may spin a surprise by bringing an
outsider just as it did with Chidoka .
Those jostling for the post includes ,former DCM Operations, Oyeyemi
and his successor, Garuba Mohammed, all DCM.
A surprise is also in the wait with the promotion of Ojeme
as a DCM.
She is the highest ranked female in the history of the
Agency.
If Ojeme who is from the South South pick the slot, that
automatically means all those above her in rank will leave with Chidoka.
The sources also said that Gen Lawrence Onoja rtd is also
within the radar.
The retired General who is a full member of the ruling
PDP is being fronted by the North to take over the job.
The days to come will determine, which direction Goodluck
Jonathan who has the final say on the issue would want to go.
