Natasha Chinemerem Ubani,
daughter of former Director General of the Peoples Democratic Institute,
Anthony Ubani, has emerged best graduating student in five subjects and best
overall graduating science student at the graduation ceremony of the Royal
Family Academy School, Abuja. In a colourful graduation ceremony which took
place on Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Abuja, the brilliant young lady catered away
six outstanding awards in the following categories:
1. Overall
best graduating student in Geography;
2. Overall
best graduating student in Visual art;
3. Overall
best graduating student in Chemistry;
4. Overall
best graduating student in Dyeing and
Bleaching Trade;
5. Overall
best graduating student in Civic
Education; and
6. Overall
best graduating student in Science Class.
Natasha told our reporter
that she hopes to proceed to the university to study Architecture. She
attributes her outstanding success to the grace of God and the training and
support received from her parents. Natasha who says she hopes to become an
architect in the future says she loves designing a lot. Asked if she will like
to further her education in Nigeria or abroad, she said “there are good schools
of architecture here in Nigerian Universities and abroad, whichever one offers
me admission, I will accept. I am not hung up on studying abroad.”
On what she plans to do
next, Natasha said, “I have just been admitted into the Yale Young Global
Scholars Program which is for outstanding high school students from all over
the world. So I will be flying over to the New Haven, Yale Campus in
Conneticut, USA within the next two weeks to participate in the program.” Natasha
expressed her gratitude to God, her parents and her teachers who have all
worked hard to raise her properly. She asked CKN news to help her send a shout
out to her aunty Njy Ubani and her Uncle Ikposi Okwulehie amongst others, too
many mention, for all their support. Indeed it takes a village to raise a
