Students of Lagos State University (LASU), on Wednesday, proposed a N20,000 across-board tuition fee for all faculties in the institution.
They also proposed N10,000 acceptance fee and N500 caution fee.
In a statement issued by the Students’ Union and signed by the president, Mr Temitope Nurudeen, the students also described as unrealistic, the July 6 deadline for the payment of the new fees as released by the state government.
The union also resolved that students should resume on campus with immediate effect, but strongly warned that no student should pay the fees until further notice.
The union said there was no deadline for payment now, while asking the management to suspend payment, “as we are into negotiation with the government.”
