Few days ago, President Goodluck Jonathan was reported to have been booed in South Africa during the swearing ceremony of President Jacob Zuma.
But his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati has debunked the story.
This was Reuben's reaction:
Nobody booed President Jonathan in South Africa. His
presence was much appreciated by the people and government of S/Africa. We
consider the attempt by certain partisan elements to play politics with the
President's trip to SA cheap, puerile & unnecessary. Those peddling
misinformation that President was jeered at in SA are unfair, malicious
&uncharitable. Fits into a known political pattern. President Jonathan
congratulates the people & government of South Africa on a successful
inauguration ceremony & thanks them for their warm hospitality.
Yaaaaayyyy! Let's give a standing ovation to our president for not being booed. Mtcheeeew!
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha! After. We are there in SA.
