The Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly Church, Pastor Tunde
Bakare has criticized the Federal government for the invitation extended to
foreign countries to rescue the over 200 abducted school girls in Chibok, Borno
State.
In a sermon of Sunday May 11th 2014, Pastor Bakare spoke
on the intervention of the US and other foreign countries as Nigeria fights to
rescue kidnapped Chibok girls.
He criticized the Nigerian Government's weakness in handling the situation and flayed a possible invitation of US troops to rescue the girls.
But Pastor Bakare, with all due respect, these women that their children got missing, are weeping day and night and the Federal Government is devising all means to rescue these children. What then are you saying? Am very sure your children are not involved in this. (Esther)

D bible clearly states dat we shld pray for those in authority and not to criticise them as they are being placed there by God. If u dont have d grace to pray for them u keep quiet. I blame pple dat go there to listen to his criticism as it cannot edify them He is a watch man dat has been called to watch over d city. D bible says we shld pray for d peace of Jerusalem. So he shld pray for d peace of Nigeria. Is either he goes to practice law his profession as an activist or he goes back to islam where he is coming from and we now know dat he came to check d loopeholes in christainity so dat he can criticise it or he become a real pastor and behave like oda great men of God dat re praying for dis Nation. Americans dont criticise their govt, dont we have pastors in America? Has any one of them criticise the gay marriage policy of d American even when d bible sees it as a taboo. No nation fights terrorism in isolation let him have it in mind. If America wants to spy our security systems they dont need to come here they have the technology to do dat. Malaysia was not left alone to search for their missing plane every country dat has something to offer volunteered their service. We must not criticise whatever decision our govt has taken as far as it will bring back our girls. Is dis attitude dat has placed Nigeria where we are. Apportioning blames and we dont applaud good decision as long as it is not coming from us. Pls we shld support d govt and where they are making mistakes we shld pray dat they retrace their steps. All hands must be on deck to ensure d safe return of our abducted girls

Granted that the fed government is ineffective bring back our girls should they remain captives. Bakare arogantly considers himself as a vegetable of knowledge which Nigerians must feed on. He need to be told to display that i " know it all" attitude when preaching to his congregation, & dont ever think that Nigerians are a bunch of ignoramuses. I was in his church in 2012 when to told his that he had not called the past presidents his president, but wish to declare to them that GEJ is president. But today he is his greatest critic. Can someone tell anywhere Bakare affered solution to any national issue except to criticise.
