Segun Arinze To Speak At Rotary District 9125 Annual Conference In Kaduna

Nollywood star actor and former President of Actors Guild of Nigeria ,Segun Arinze has been selected by Rotary Club of Nigeria District 9125 to deliver a lecture at its annual convention coming up later in the year.

This was contained in a letter addressed to the actor and signed by its District Governor, Felix Sunny Arinze  on behalf of all Rotarians in District 9125, Nigeria.  

Rotary International District 9125 is one of the three Districts in Nigeria comprising all the Rotary clubs in twenty-three (23) States and the Federal Capital Territory.

The event shall hold on the 9th and 10th May 2014 at the Arewa House Kaduna, Kaduna State.


This Rotary International year 2013-14 theme is “Engage Rotary ,Change Lives”; a theme that has been the pivot of all the activities of Rotarians and Rotary Clubs in their various communities all over the world.  

The theme for the conference is therefore “Engage Rotary . . Change Lives” with sub-themes on “Volunteerism:  A Nexus for Nation Building”; “Ethics and Values – The bedrock for Family and Nation”.

Rotary International sees volunteerism as being in short supply in our country and selflessness and ethical evolution as vital ingredients for peace, good neighbourliness, and nation building.

Mr Segun Arinze according to the organizers was selected based on his antecedents as a former president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria and an articulate artist of international acclaim.

 He is expected to speak on the Topic: Vocation as an agent for Social Change and integration.

Mr Segun Arinze apart from being one of Africa’s best actors is also a motivational speaker, compere, entrepreneur, philanthropist, educationalist, musician as well as a board member of several organizations including Nigeria’s foremost online media, CKN Nigeria.
