The Party had said ,the statement of APC Chieftains including Gen Buhari is fuelling terrorism.. I read this some time back and if indeed it is true he said it, I would beg to differ with him on this note. The Niger Delta militants claimed that the oil exploration activities going on in their land had left their land in a mess, thereby impoverishing many of them because they could no longer afford to fish and farm. Thus, they took up arms to protest this 'injustice' and draw government's attention to their plight. When the issue was eventually addressed, do we still hear of militants kidnapping people? No. Moreover, their target was the wealthy; those they perceived as corrupt.
ReplyDeleteBut these boko haram people have a rather evil agenda to stop people going to school. Boko haram targets poor, innocent civilians. They have no clear cut agenda.
So, for anybody to equate boko haram with niger delta militants is pure sentiments. The Niger delta militants went about their activities in such a way that innocent people didnt suffer at all...Boko haram creatures would go a dormitory late into the night and kill all the students they find there...its sickening! Are they(BH) not cowards? What did those commuters at Nyanya motor park have to do with whatever idiotic thing they are agitating for?
Please, nobody should compare boko haram with Niger delta militants...the comparison is a mismatch.
How did he (Buhari) get to know that boko haram houses are burnt and that they are displaced? He must have a link with them. He should advise bh that they are fighting a stupid fight,the masses are suffering too,so let them face their hausa leaders that ruled for years and can't provide them with a better society, the Niger Delta had a point,so don't compare them,just like Oga 1 rightly wrote.
