Fire
Monday gutted parts of the Portkacabin in the premises of the National
Headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The Portakabin comprised a
two large containers; one housing the Press Centre and the another housing the
sub publicity office.
It
was gathered that the fire started at about 8.15p.m. due to electrical fault
from the upper porta cabin, which was razed down.
Security
men on duty at the secretariat said that the fire was noticed at the upper
cabin and that the Federal Fire Service at Garki Area 10 was informed, but
before they arrived, much damage had been to the upper cabin that housed the
ICT office of the party. Confirming the fire incident, the National
Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh, in a statement titled: ‘Minor
Fire Incident at PDP Secretariat,’ said there had been a minor fire incident
which affected some parts of the Press Centre situated within the premises of
the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja.
According
to the statement, “The fire, which was caused by some electrical faults at
about 8:15p.m. was promptly put off by men of the fire service.
“The
PDP rules out any form of sabotage or attack and hereby wishes to inform all
our members and teaming supporters that the matter has since been put under
control,” the statement said.

Olisa metuh, God is unhappy with you for politicking on the unfortunate mass murder of innocent common Nigerians whom you remorselessly attributed to APC when we all know better. You might blame the APC for this fire incident. I am a card carrying member of PDP and all I am saying is you stepped out of line on that unfortunate incident.
