State Government Saturday relaxed the curfew placed on the state capital
Maiduguri, following the attack on the city by suspected members of the Boko
Haram sect on Friday morning.
The
curfew on the city now starts from 9pm and ends 6am daily.
The new time was communicated in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ambassador Baba Ahmad Jidda.

statement read: "Governor Kashim Shettima has approved the review of
ongoing dusk to dawn curfew imposed in Maiduguri Friday 14th March, 2014
following insurgency attack.
"The
curfew now starts from 9pm to last till 6am as against the dusk to dawn. All
citizens are kindly advised to continually cooperate with security agencies and
abide by provisions of the curfew until further notice."
