APC's Fasting And Prayer For Wike's Emergence Is Selfish And Self Serving..PDP

Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the declaration of seven days fasting by the All Progressives Congress, (APC) to facilitate Chief Nyesom Wike’s emergence as Rivers PDP guber candidate.
The APC on Tuesday, said it was declaring seven days of fasting and prayer for the PDP in Rivers to choose Wike as its gubernatorial candidate for the 2015 elections, saying it would expose the party as one that does not have the interest of the state at heart.
The PDP in a statement by Jerry Needam, the media assistant to the Rivers PDP chairman, said such action by the APC is not only a waste of time and resources, but a blasphemy since “the APC has never shown any disposition to the things of the Most High God.”
Needam said the Rivers PDP, has not endorsed anybody as its governorship candidate and has not shut its door against any of its many qualified members.
“In this regard,  Nyesom Wike, like any other member, could aspire or be called upon to fly the party’s flag as long as it is the consensus opinion of majority of party faithful,” the party said.
The PDP urged the APC to strive to be focused rather than meddling in the internal of other parties.
“It is gratifying however, that the APC could not hide its understandable fears for the possible emergence of a better and suitable candidate like Chief Nyesom Wike. So rather than deceiving the public on the obvious motive for the prayer declaration, the APC should come out plainly and inform the potential prayer “warriors” of threat such candidature poses to the APC candidate to avoid praying amiss,” the party stated.

  1. Wike , is evil. A man that could arm youth to kill just because he wants to be governor. I can't imagine the tempest in Rivers where Wike is the governor.. Rivers people should not make the mistake of electing Wike , their governor. Such division will be highly consequential . It will look like 4 yrs of Alao Akalas miss rule in Oyo state.

  2. APC, dont bother arranging a prayer & fast for a PDP candidate in Rivers. Rather concentrate that spiritual exercise to ur party so dat PDP can be defeated in the state. Anybody PDP projects is there business if they like, let them present a non-indegine or a foreigner as aspirant in Rivers. No time for rubbish.
