President Goodluck Jonathan said the suspended CBN governor,Lamido
Sanusi had been brandishing different
figures, thereby making it difficult for him to know which one to believe
on the alleged $20bn.
Despite this however, the President said as a government, it is
important to find out what was amiss even if one dollar was missing.
In doing that however, he said he would follow due process and obey the
rule of law.
He said those who expected him as the President to carry a stick
and hit anybody accused of wrongdoing either rightly or wrongly
were getting things wrong.
Jonathan insisted that there were processes involved in auditing
government agencies and parastatals.
He said, “You are journalists, you can go and interview the
Auditor-General. Nobody is covering anybody up. Sanusi’s suspension has nothing
to do with the alleged missing money. The first query sent to him was in April.
The second was in May.
“The right thing must be done irrespective of whose ox is gored .”
I think every rational nigerian can now see that Sanusi uses his mouth to think while GEJ uses his brain.
ReplyDeleteI'm even suspecting Sanusi might be linked to dis boko haram, he might be funding dem. He shud shift one corner let's know how to tackle our problem. His supporters can cry wolf for all I care.
ReplyDeleteLook at u calling people idiot because people like u are the problem of Nigeria btw GEJ and Sanusi who first started the queries, they have been quering Sanusi over some money since before he came up with his stories that he is not even sure of the figure
ReplyDeleteAny body dat is suppotin sanusi is an evil person
ReplyDeleteIn Sanusi's case, Jonathan has clearly demonstrated that he is corrupt and orchestrate and masterminds corruption . The guy should be commended for identifying the enormous corruption in NNPC. But rather than sack the minister of petroleum who has publicly testified to be spending money on kerosine subsidy , he chose to suspend the whistle blower. God will purnish Jonathan forever and ever. Amen.
ReplyDeleteEven if the president has a case against sanusi, he has missed the point by allowing it to linger until a grevious allegation is leveled against his govt. What we have on ground now is simply an after thought
ReplyDeleteCan u imagine Jonathan who claim to be an educated person,a PHD holder 4 dat matter proclaiming it out that an allegation by a CBN governor is conviencing him bcause d allegation is numberous,Sanusi writes Jonathan on every allegation as he is discovering it but d corrupt Jonathan kept quite and now it is uncountable b4 him that he doesn't know where to start d probe 4rm which means it has become an invicible,Jonathan never knew Nigerians are not fools,Ghaddafi is wiser nd stronger him where is he today,Saddam Hussein too among many bad leaders like him always have a bad end,we are waiting 4 his
ReplyDeleteSanusi is apc man, apc is using him to cause disaffection in nigerian. Their game plan has failed. Where is he today , in lagos with tinubu , providing for him. Gej is d man , God bless him d more.
ReplyDeleteU that's calling somebody idiot, wat did u knw about government? Sanusi house boy DAT is wat u are animal....
ReplyDeleteI hate rahp wth passion
ReplyDeleteLooking at this two individuals who are wearing eyeglasses and yet look beyond d glasses. Both of them have a case to answer
ReplyDeleteI think that Sanusi is just trying 2 be smart. Why did he wait 4 over 12 month b4 he new that some money has not been remited into the federation account and why did he wait till after he was sent 2 query on reckless spending?
