Sanusi Accuses Goodluck Of Shielding Corrupt Officers

The suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria,Lamido Sanusi Lamido has accused the Federal government of shielding corrupt officers.
He made this assertion In an interview granted the Voice of America (Hausa Service), shortly after his suspension on Thursday, Sanusi   accused the President  of doing  nothing to punish corrupt officials in his cabinet.
He cited the case of the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, who he said,  publicly  admitted that she spent N3.5bn of tax-payers’ money on kerosene subsidy without appropriation, on live television.
He said, “The minister of Petroleum Resources appeared before the National Assembly in front of television cameras and admitted that she spent N3.5bn of tax-payers’ money on kerosene subsidy without appropriation, nothing was done.”.
The  former CBN governor had vowed to pursue the matter in court to safeguard the bank’s autonomy and protect the nation’s economy against abuse of power shortly after the President suspended him on Thursday.
“He said, “I am also letting the people know that we believe that the President does not have the powers to suspend the CBN governor.
“I have no intention of returning to the job but we are going to court to confirm whether or not the President has powers to suspend the CBN governor.
“If we don’t do this, tomorrow another governor of the CBN will not be able to work and the President can suspend him.
“In the interest of the (autonomy) of the Bank itself and that of the nation, it is important to go to court.”

  3. Sanusi am just a civil servant and I bold state here that you Sanusi Lamido is a big FOOL.this is not to say i don't have respect for your person and old age as a boy your son may even be more older than but because of my concern for the betterment of this nation and your carelessness in discharge of your high position as the CBN Governor, who lacks respect.Soludo initiated the idea of capital base so that bank customers can have confidence and yours is all about vendeta and not subbordinate;Nigeria is tired of your being talkertive.indeed you are concerned about Nigeria and you adviced the president to sack civil servants as a way to save money and I ask for who do you save the money for?where were the talkertive like you when the past leaders from the North held this countery siege for years and presently you are puting blame on this present administration for imbalance in revenue sharing that neccesited your pity for voting huge amount without due process and claiming that is the reason for Boko Haram insurgence!if this is true of your claim how would feel for some region who have not been opprtuned of having a president at the federal level to for see their interest hence they are scathered over the world in search of greener pasture(Igbos) blame all you claim on IBB,Buhari, shagari,Abacha,Atiku,"Yaradua"exceptional because he is one of the leader I respect.
