One of President Goodluck Jonathan's trusted aide,Chief Oronto Douglas is seriously ill.CKN Nigeria investigation in the villa confirmed that the likeable and amiable former social activist from Bayelsa State has of late not been in the best of health. According to our sources at the villa, Oronto has been in and out of hospitals for months on treatment on a yet to be ascertained illness. He has been shuttling between Nigeria and the United States of America for months, confirmed our sources. According to him, this is why Oronto has not been seen in public for sometime now. He comes around and do his job but ,the next moment he is out of town again for a long time. A check last week by CKN Nigeria revealed that Oronto was in town and at his desk but was looking very frail. He has lost weight considerably. It will be recalled that the last major event involving Chief Oronto Douglas was during the burial of his father some months back. The burial claimed the life of former Kaduna State Governor and a former retired Chief of Defence staff,who died in a plane crash while returning from the burial in Bayelsa State.
