He was Nigeria's Vice President for 8 years during which he had a running battle with his principal (Olusegun Obasanjo) who saw him as being "over ambitious" and did everything to make sure, he did not occupy his seat. He left his Party PDP to form AC with other politicians under which he wanted to run for Presidency. He fell out with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and left the Party.In between then ,he has been the brain behind the newly registered PDM. Atiku Abubakar returned to the PDP after a long absence but was not fully integrated into the mainstream of the Party. Yesterday he announced that he has left PDP once again and has pitched his tent with APC.. Obj tested and trusted him but he betrayed the trust, that is why he can never become president of Nigeria, he is coming for selfish reason.
