Murtala Nyako Escapes Assasination

Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State escaped death by the whiskers when he was attacked in Shuwa, Madagali local government area of the state. Madagali has witnessed series of terrorists attacks recently and the governor had gone to the area to commiserate and condole with the people when unknown gunmen fired gunshots into the air when the governor was addressing the people.
Eyewitness account revealed that moment after the Governor had received the microphone to address the people, two gunmen in Military uniform emerged and shot thrice into the air. According to the eyewitness, before then people have started shouting, "they are coming! They are coming!! They are coming!!!" referring to the insurgents.
In the ensuing confusion, the governor was quickly rescued and ferried away by his security aides as some vehicles in the his convoy rammed into one another

    That Admiral Nyako ran with all his military trainings home and abroad with Nigerians tax payers money coupled with his huge security votes and attachees because of two young men on military uniform shooting into the air. What a shame. It is only in Nigeria that we have Generals despite the fact that they have never been to any war.
