Ejigbo LCDA |
Since I cannot afford an airtime on LTV or
AIT, I am using this platform to seek the government attention to the decay of
governance in Ejigbo LCDA.
I was at Governor Babatunde Fashola campaign
tour to Ejigbo during last pre-election and the promises thereafter. I am yet
to see active fulfilment on them compare to that of Surulere, Ajah, Lekki and
Apapa. I believe the governor remember how bad the road was during his campaign
tour? The road is worst now. Ejigbo/Isheri records the slowest speed in
development across board despite media effort to draw the government to his
commitment of equal development.
Let me be fair to the government, the skeletal
constructions in Ejigbo/Ishere are carried out by retired bricklayers (I will
show prove) without time frame. The Isheri bridge linking Jakande estate has
been on going for over two years (charge me if I am not saying the truth) by
Hi-tech. No construction timeframe to carry the people along. Iyana Ejigbo road
is a dead trap with containers fallen off trucks like everyday. Another way for
LASMAN is generating revenue.
As I write this note, Aliegun road, a major
road that could easy off traffic gridlock of the Isolo-Ejigbo road is
undergoing “construction” left in the hands of retired local bricklayers called
contractors. This is another waste of public fund.
My dear Governor, please when coming for the
January bomb blast victim’s remembrance day at Oke -Afa, kindly make a tour
again and see for yourself.
The Oke-Afa/Egbe bridge expansion is long over
due. It was there before you came in as governor. Show mercy our governor.
We cannot remain like this. We are all
stakeholders in this Lagos project.
