Defecting APC House Of Reps Members Were Paid N50m..Gov Al Makura

The Nasarawa State governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura yesterday said the two members of the House of Representatives representing the state at the House of Representatives were enticed with N50 million each to defect from APC to PDP.
Two House of Representatives members from Nasarawa State on the platform of APC, Dr Joseph Haruna Kigbu and Mr David Umbugadu, representing Lafia/Obi and Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba federal constituencies respectively were reported last week to have dumped the APC to the PDP.
Al-Makura said this during a pre-primary election seminar organised by the APC for Chairmanship and councillorship aspirants on the platform of the party for the forth-coming local government election in the state that is billed to hold in March, 2014.
He continued that the duo had joined politics as a venture where they would make money but not to provide selfless service to the citizenry as enshrined in APC ideals. However, the governor assured the APC loyalists that the party would win the 2015 governorship election and continue with its rule in the state.
His words: “The duo of the House of Representatives members from Nasarawa State that recently defected from the APC to the PDP are not leaving to anywhere.

  5. Anonymous 11:52 am, so you want us to jump from frying-pan to fire, you re saying that because we need a change we should vote for APC a Party that don’t even have a party manifesto, yet they are claiming to be a Political Party, A lunatic party without foundation or structure, their only party Manifesto is destructive criticism and false accusation, Nigerian Muslim brotherhood Bokoharam party lay their fragile foundation on deceit, lies, Greediness terrorism, wickedness, looting, treachery, anarchy, hatred etc, abi? I don't know what APC stands for? They re against the declaration of state of emagency in 3 northern states, they are against LG autonomy, they are against passage of the budget, they are against National Conference, mere election dates scare them. I know many things APC are against but I hardly see them gather for what they stand for. What is their position on Boko Haram, how will their budget be different, how will they tackle corruption (example from their states), will all their candidates declare their assets, do they have any plans for a better conference? Barely one year to election APC has no focus. When will APC discuss what they have to offer, I mean plans, policies and programmes?
