All
is now set for Students of Lagos State University (LASU) to resume lectures after
three weeks of closure occasioned by violent demonstration by students of the
institution over school fees.
Monday, February 24,2014 has been fixed for resumption according to a statement
pushed out by authorities of the School.
The Senate of
LASU comprising Provosts, Deans and Directors, issued the directive in order to
allow final year students seat for their examinations.
The
Institution has in recent time being at loggerhead with students over sundry issues, during
which several properties belonging to the institution were damaged by the
students.
The State
House of Assembly has also intervened in the crisis.
It is yet to
be confirmed if the resumption will include all level of students and if they will
be asked to pay for all the damaged properties.
