Former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba and the All
Progressives Congress (APC) members representing the state at the National
Assembly were conspicuously absent at a stakeholders meeting called at the
instance of Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
Amosun had, through his Senior Special Adviser on Political Matters,
Honourable Tunji Egbetokun, invited members to a crucial meeting held at the
June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, on Monday.
The stakeholders meeting had in attendance the governor, Senator Amosun,
his deputy, Prince Segun Adesegun, the Speaker of the House of Assembly,
Honourable Suraj Adekunbi Ishola, and his deputy, Tola Banjo.
Others are Senator Biyi Durojaiye, Senator Iyabode Anisulowo, Chief Olu
Adebanjo, Chief Dayo Abatan, Mr Kunle Elegbede, Chief Samuel Durojaye, among
others.
The meeting adopted Amosun for second term, as members argued that his
achievements in office in the last two and half years were enough for him to be
re-elected.
Those absent included Senator Adegbenga Kaka (Ogun East), Senator Gbenga
Obadara (Ogun Central) and Senator Akin Odunsi (Ogun West), among others.
