Stupidity:Akwa Ibom Speaker Carries House Mace Around To Public Functions (See Pic)

This is the MACE of the Akwa Ibom state house of Assembly sitting right before the Speaker, Mr Sam Ikon and Chief Don Etiebet with his wife. This is definitely not a State Function but a social function. What is the mace doing at a social event which has nothing to do with law making? Is this how it is done in Akwa ibom state?

    It may Not be stupidity until we have confirmed what function that was holding. We should also ask why the item (Maze ?) was there. It could also be an Item of cartoon that someone else brought to the table where the speak was sitting. Chief Umoren
