Revealed:First Lady Refused To Shake Amaechi At Mother's Funeral

The First Lady Patience Jonathan , who was scheduled to leave Port Harcourt yesterday, did not leave. There was no official explanation for the change secluded.

The wife of the President was in Rivers state for the funeral of her mother, the late Madam Charity Fyneface Oba, aka Mama Sisi, at Okrika, headquarters of Okrika Local Government Area.

At the funeral service at the playground of Okrika National Secondary School last Friday, Dame Jonathan refused to shake Amaechi while she moved round to greet dignitaries, but the Rivers governor, unperturbed, danced to the music of Gozie Okeke, Buchi and Yinka Ayefele, among others.

The members of the advanced team of the First Lady were already at the airport yesterday, waiting for their boss, who did not show up.

The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, George Feyii, commissioners, local government chairmen and other top Rivers government officials were at the airport waiting to receive the APC leaders.

  2. U have succeeded in bringing curse upon urself by abusing a woman that is old enough 2 be ur mother. D word of God clearly stated it that "ur days will be long if u honor ur father and mother". Even if she has done smtin wrong u should let God handle her Himself rather than abuse her.

  5. Our dear Dame remember u said Amaechi is ur son&brother that u won't destroy him. Show forgiveness as a good xtian&mother. Again, u don't throw away a child wt bath water. Our people say, "enmity does not get to death" if ur enemy attends ur mother's burial he/she is looking for peace. Ma, pls call Amaechi&talk to him as a mother to son not politics. Let's build our state pls. Thanks.

  11. You all may be right, but I think Mrs Jonathan did not get it well by not recorgnising Port-Harcourt boy like Chibuike. She has only shown the whole world that she's not a peaceful person and that her husbands position gets into her head. I don't understand the kind of people that comes into leadership positions in Nigeria but let me recomend to Mrs Jonathan a very small book my mum use to read, its titled "qaulities of a good mother" by Potia Willingthon. She should study that book concernciously not as the wife of the President but as a humble soul seeking to learn and to change and may God touch her as she do so. Then, I must commend the Chibuike for how he condocted himself properly as a good gentle man of our greater Port-Harcourt in that funeral. The way he danced unpertubed and laughed without concern over the pride and arogance which Mrs Jonathan came out to show. The office of the 1st lady is not recorgnised in the constitution of our good republic and if we decide to accord Petience respect, she should appreciate it and try hard to make peace between her family and myself and my grand mother and Chibuike and you reading this and everyone else. I think that's what she owe all of us as a good mother and not the opposite.
