APC Offers Defecting PDP NASS Members Automatic 2015 Ticket

It has emerged that under the agreement reached between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and members of the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), any member of the National Assembly and state assemblies from the ruling party who wishes to cross over to the APC will be given an automatic ticket to re-contest the 2015 elections, if he so desire.
Also, the agreement between the APC and the PDP faction showed that the five PDP governors that have joined the APC will be given the powers to control their state structures.
The same offer was also made to other PDP state governors wishing to defect to the APC in the future, while all members of the ruling party who cross over to the APC will be free and eligible to contest for office as members of the executive committees of the opposition party at all levels.
Five of the seven aggrieved governors of the ruling party – Chibuike Amaechi (Rivers), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), and Murtala Nyako (Adamawa) – along with other members of the splinter group, had declared their intention to leave the PDP for the APC on Tuesday.
Their decision was the culmination of talks between both sides and the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that spelt out the terms for members of the PDP to join APC.
A senior APC source, who spoke on the details of the MoU, said the terms gave the PDP governors who chose to join APC the right to control their state structures and also guaranteed automatic tickets to members of the federal and state assemblies to contest the 2015 elections.
“Also, with the registration of members of the APC coming up in December and the national convention and state congresses coming up in December and January next year, all the lawmakers wishing to contest will be given automatic tickets, unless they opt out.

  8. APC is not going to be do anything strange if they are eventually get to power, are they not the one campaign against these people they are now canvansing to join them now as being corrupt. To be sincere there own will be worst that expected,by so doing be expecting our federal universities students to be paying more than N500,000.00 per session and every member of Tinubu Family tobecomes ministers and ambasadors as is going on in Lagos state and others APC control states. They are looking for power by all means either you perform or not just join us and get your mandate back.If there are other politicians from their constituency having interest to contest or not or may be they are people choice or not. APC was not practising democracy rather than authocratic form of leadership.

  9. Hahaha, that is tinubu 4 U. Whether the so called NASS members ar doing well or not, is not his problem, provided they are from PDP they have automatic ticket. Hm what a desperate way of undertaking membership drive.indeed the drama between these two Parties are just beginning to unfold with selfish interest holding sway. I can indeed see why Tukur is happy to wish the APC and the defectors well. The truth is that most of these defectors have reach their cross road of confussion.

  10. Rapheal is a blind surporter of APC.if you trully want to know more about APC check out Osun and Ekiti States under APC as case study. One Bamidele a member of House of Reps from Ekiti is presently facing persecution by Rapheal's dear party for daring to contest against Fayemi the annoited sitting Governor.

  12. Pdp is like viruse, spreading like wildfire. I tell you what! There is no political party in naija without pdp members, the latest is apc.Na s00000. The ongoing crises rather than weakening the party , makes it more stronger just like the south African ANC.

  13. APC lacks vision. They called PDP corrupt party yet they are begging same top members to come join them. That's stupidity in the highest order. APC just want to take Nigeria backward cuz they are more of desperate business men than purposeful politicians.

  16. Hhhhmmmmm!
He who glories and seeks advantage in another mans fall should prepare himself for pay day! I dare to prophesy, the same fate meets APC - its only a matter of time cos this same cancerous PDP members & incubent bad eggs in APC and others who will join will eventually sink this ship. With the ongoing drama, I have disenfranchised myself from party schemes. I wish it could be two party system. However, any evil agenda from the hands of political parties with evil antics to disintigrate this nation, make leadership unfocus and purposeless will not prosper. 2015 is 2years ahead ONLY GOD knows how many of these evil partymen will see it. God save you ALL.

  18. I liked the idea of APC right from conception, but am beginning to hate the way they are wooing current PDP members who are mostly discredited and failed politicians to join them with the bait of automatic tickets. These are the same conservatives who have held this country back for 15 years of PDP rule, brought Nigerians untold hardsips, insecurity, kidnapping, Boko Haram, festering corruption, impunity, rigging science, poverty, rising unemployment, and general failures in all other sectors and now APC which we thought is a party for the progressives wants to admit these same crooks as members, as if the success of APC at the polls will depends on them. If they do, sure I, like most other Nigerians will lose our interest in APC. They cannot serve the same old wine in an APC bottle, No, we wont accept it. We'd rather settle for PDM or some other party with a sound ideology. APC has mortgaged its ideology of a socialist, welfarist party.
