Nigeri at 53:Nothing worth celebrating.Opinions would be divide on whether or not the independence day worths celebrating until this country is restructured in line witj true fedralism principles. The Nation can be thankful that the Nationhood had been a lesson on how not to be a Nation. If only in purposeful governance .The readiness to obey this lesson is what we should celebrate not independence, which is yet to bear the expected fruot of peace, progress&prosperity. We donakt need to pray for our crude oil to gry up so it could focus on development of human resources. The regions should be allowed to manage their resources"while we thank those still holding on to a stubborn hope of a better tomorrow & commend those who want us to face the reality of bleak future,we wish to enjoin all to heed this age-old warning:that the resource curse stigma aced Nigeria is simply because the current revenue allocation formula rewards laziness & does not encourage hardworking.I want to use the oppurtunity to make another call for a severeign National conference which it said would redeem the nation & set it on sure-footed path.
