PDP Kicks Out Mrs Nnorom,Appoints Dr Adebayo New DG PDI

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party have appointed a technocrat in the person of Dr Lanre Adebayo as the new substantive Director General of Peoples Democratic Institute.

CKN Nigeria gathered that Dr Adebayo was appointed to replace Mrs Chinwe Nnorom who has been acting in that capacity in the past few months.

Dr Adebayo was the former Executive Director of the National Orientation Agency.

Prior to his appointment, the Peoples Democratic Institute had known no peace since the appointment of Mrs Nnorom, whom some people saw a stooge of some big shots at PDP.

She was also believed to be grossly incompetent without the requisite qualification for the position she was forced to occupy.

CKN Nigeria findings revealed that the appointment of Dr Lanre Adebayo has brought some bite and fresh air to the think tank engine room of the ruling PDP.

Mrs Chinwe Nnorom’s earlier appointment from the PDP Headquarters Abuja were she was working was highly resisted by the staff of the Institute who believed she did not have the necessary intellectual capacity for such to head an institution of such magnitude.

This pitched her against many top management staff that saw her as an impostor.

CKN check showed that with the appointment of a capable hand, the Institute according to our finding is now poise for the challenges of the future.

Our investigation has shown that the former Director Generals of the Institute who have hitherto kept their distance from the Institute since Nnorom’s appointment have pledged to give their support to the new DG
