nPDP Governors Open Talk With APC...El Rufai

Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mallam Nasir Armed El-Rufai has said that based on the ongoing talks between the party and the Baraje led new PDP , the G7 governors may soon join the APC
El-Rufai , made the assertion while speaking with newsmen on his arrival to Kano at the Mallam Aminu Kano international airport.
According to him the rationale behind his visit to Kano was to interact with the stakeholders to map out strategies ahead of the 2015 general elections.
However when asked if the consideration of the factional PDP members would not undermine the manifesto of the party despite its criticism on the style of leadership of the present administration, the former minister of FCT insisted that there are some good elements among the PDP members who have tired about the present situation in the country.
It is well known that not all PDP me,bers were bad, going by the way the new PDP were doing it is clesr thst there were syill some members of the PDP thst were not happy with the way Jonathan were running the country.
Therefore if these type of people now regarded themselves as new PDP and confronting thekr party ,it is an indication tnath there were still few people witjin the. psrty that believe kn chanbe.
Bssed on this factor and the principle they syand for, thry were welcome to join the APC, in order to effect the change the generality of people were yearning fof snd it is only in APC, tnat capsble of bringing the change
He assured that with the political antecedents of the APC leaders, the party would not disappoint Nigerians in its advocacy for good governance.
Kano state Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso had on Sunday said that himself and other aggrieved governors in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, otherwise referred to as G-7 Governors are open to four options in its ongoing battle with the Bamanga tukur led Leadership of the party.
The Governor said that one of the four options open to the seven governors is to decamp to the mega opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
The other options available to the G-7 Governors he said included finalizing the ongoing reconciliation effort by President Goodluck Jonathan, aligning forces with a small, unpopular party, and that of floating a new political party
Gov. Kwankwaso made these views known in Abuja when he spoke on the Hausa service of Vision FM radio.
The governor lamented what he described as the lack of will to address the group’s grievances by both the party leadership and the President even though his Jigawa State counterpart – Sule Lamido – was a member of the G-34 that gave birth to the PDP in 1998.
He said: “All that we demanded from the party and government, which we see as the way forward for the party, none was fulfilled. Therefore it is surprising to see a party that is toying with its warfront commanders”.
Kwankwaso also said, “We already have four ways out of this crisis if they can’t meet up our concerns. One is the dialogue, which is still going on, or joining a small party, and then some people offered floating a new party, yet some are of the view of joining APC. We don’t want to leave the party. But if leaving PDP is what will only save our states and people, we will leave it. As such, we call on people to support us on that, because our concern is to ward off anything that will harm our people”.

Stating the running battle they have with the Tukur-led National Working Committee of PDP, Kwankwaso said, “We want them to address the Rivers crisis where the PDP leadership was sacked. Amaechi himself, he won [NGF] election with 18 votes, I was there. But someone with 16 claimed to winhttp://cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png the election. Then in Adamawa, we said the problem there should be addressed and other things that we said need to be resolved”.

  1. These so. Called G7 governors and the way they reason, one begins to wonder how they got there in the first place. How does what is happening in rivers and jigawa states affecting your people in kano state that you want to protect them from. I only pity those naïve sychophants following you about. You don't even have anything to offer except for your secret selfish agenda. You and your cohorts should go hide your faces in shame!
