Minister of the Federal Capital
Territory Administration, FCTA, Senator Bala Mohammed, has explained that he
sealed off the Adamawa State Governor’s Lodge in the Maitama District,
Abuja because of what he termed abuse of the master plan.
A statement signed by the Chief Press
Secretary to the Minister, Muhammad Hazat Sule, read, “the FCT Administration
has sealed-off the Adamawa State Governor’s Lodge in the Maitama District of
the Federal Capital City for abuse of the Abuja Master Plan.
”All the Governor’s Lodges in the
Federal Capital Territory, Abuja are enshrined in the Abuja Master Plan to be
for residential purposes but not for political party secretariat as Adamawa
State Governor’s Lodge is currently being used.
”The Governor’s Lodge, as it is
today, is being used as a political party office thereby negating the spirit of
urban planning and causing nuisance and disturbance on the residents dwelling
in that area of the
city as well as inflicting undue
pressure on the infrastructure and services therein, contrary to the principles
of the Abuja Master Plan”.
”The FCT Administration will not rest
on its oars until the entire 250 square kilometers of the Federal Capital City
is rid of all illegal structures and/or illegal change of Land Use” .

ReplyDeletePls minister bala keep doing ur rightful duty. Residetail buildings are for residentail purposes nigeruan must learn to practice what they preach. Let's obey the rule of law in dis country. How can a group of people say they want justice and d rule of law to take its rightful place in nigeria and PDP but yet go about violating d rule od law. Well done Sen. Bala Moh. Keep doing ur lawful duty. Seal the more that violates d Law.
ReplyDeleteLet them exercise this naked power when it lasts. No matter the distraction, they will still move on with their plans. They have the money to rent a secretariat bigger than Wada House. Federal Government should not force people on themselves. Let their good work speak for them (if they have any). The FG is Making nPDP more popular and more relevant.
ReplyDeleteS.O.R.
Bala it was stupid of you to closed adamawa governors lodge.remember the seat you are occupying is vanity bcos one day you'll leave d seat whether you like or not a word ir enough for the wise.
ReplyDeleteI stand to be corrected. Until the recent crises in NGF, all the NGF meetings were held in the Rivers State Governor's Lodge and surpisingly, Bala Muhammed never sealed the Lodge. #I no fit shout#
