Poser:Should Nigeria Be Divided Into Different Six Countries

Of late there have been serious agitation for a re think of the entity called Nigeria..Some believe Nigeria is one country sub divided into six. Some even blamed the amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914 by Lord Lugard as the real problem behind the various challenges facing the country.Every issue in Nigeria boils down to ethnicity. To some, for Nigeria to move forward,it must be broken down into various countries as it happened in Russia and even recently in Sudan. Some have threatened to leave the country if  President Goodluck Jonathan is not returned in 2015,while the North continue to say it's their turn come 2015.The South East is also crying to high heaven of total marginalization since the Nigerian civil war ended.According to them,No Igbo man has presided over the affairs of Nigeria since Late Gen Ironsi in the sixties.Massob is therefore asking the Igbos to leave Nigeria..To the South West and progressives, the solution is a Sovereign National Conference..Today we are asking, would you support a situation where Nigeria is divided into six different countries (based on Geo Political zones).Do you think the problem facing Nigeria now could be solved by each Geo Political zone going its separate ways or do you believe we are better off living as a united indivisible entity?

  16. Have said it even before now, the solution to our problems is in our hands, and most of our leadders know, that solution to this recurent issues is that everybody go there way, yes, that's the only solution,as a matter of fact, except one to deceive him or herself, living together as a Nation cannot, will not, ever work, and we can do this even without going to war, we can dialogue this on a round table, and OBJ his the one suppose to have donr this when he was agitating for 3rd term, and that would have been his greatest achievement so far.LET THE NATION DEVIDE. 17. Either of 2 things, let's run a confedration or split. This is because if someone thinks that because of his religious inclination and him being opportuned to lead vast different people he can make everybody succumb to his belief without reckoning with others' differences; event to the point of mutiny or marginalisation: then it's only logical we split to a more manageable, though different, but with lesser reasons to be involved in killing of fellow humans (how much more people you share lineage with)

  23. If all the zones can come together and agree on the distingration fine, let it be done in a peaceful manner but bet me there'll be no peace in the zones after the saperation because who'll rule. On the other hand northerners should allow other zones to have a taste of the Aso Rock.

  30. separation is not helpful u think to separate think of death every zone has supporters abroad, bokoharam is more than 20 countries fighting Nigeria now, de same with Niger delta millitants, weapons which none of security agency has seen are in de country now. Any country dat support any zone in fight has something to achieve for their country and would never want to los the fight dere by turning Nigeria to ashes there must be fight if u want separate the supporters of each zones( foreigners) controls zones indirectly when our powerful men have gone .who told dat the so called oil Niger delta would be for dem dats where problem will come from as different zones would try to claim the oil. Oh iam sory for us we are getin back to slavery after de war . Northerners IGBOS yorubas and other tribs are not de problem the problem is dat foreigners are using our leaders against us no zone has being enjoying de resources in this country evry body is cry while countries abroad are enjoying and now pushing us to fight and if we start de fight now 10 to 15 year We continue de fight.we should obey senate president David mark as he is calling for solving national conference to discuss how to rule for de benefit of evry Nigerian .my album is coming to say more long live naija.

  31. At this age, I wonder why someone will be against seperation. As long as it will bring peace, I support seperation all the way. I know I went through hell during my NYSC year in warri

  32. unity. Let each zone be rotating president after 8 years.they must reach the agreement before GEJ leave the seat.

  33. People talk about seperation any how! If you check out the rate they are the ones that were just born recently! Those that knows they've suffered a lot for Nigeria you will never say such to their front cos you don't know the pain of seperating a country. Ask other who got seperated, they would tell you what is going on with them presently not to talk of how Nigeria will be by then. I pray I don't even live to see that day...
