A 37-year-old graduate of the University of Nigeria Nsukka
(UNN), Nicolas Eze, who specialised in forging certificates for students, who
were unable to graduate from the university get mobilised for the National
Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was arrested and paraded.
Eze, who was in India for a certificate in Information
Security from APPIN knowledge Solution Limited India in 2010, also obtained a
soft copy of an original certificate of Manonmanian Sundaranar University
India.
“Upon his return to Nigeria, he edited and produced some
copies of the certificate in Nsukka, where he freely dished them out to
“deserving graduates” preparatory for youth service.”
He was alleged to also have obtained five old Nigerian
international passports stamped with fake Indian visa.
With these documents, according to Ogar, Eze was able to
process forged NYSC registration documents for five UNN students who could not
be mobilised for by the institution for the mandatory service due to their
inability to meet the required academic standards.
Eze is said to have made about
N530,000 from Makita Ude, Cynthia Ukennaya, Oluchukwu Acho, Blessing Ozoemene
and Amara Azuma and had them mobilised for the youth service.
According to the reports, he connived with one Abdulwasiu Ogunjimi, to forge certificates and facilitate the mobilisation of other fake corpers, already serving in some parts of the country.

All the groups admitted been involved
in the allegations levelled against them by the service.
The service in its message said: “We want to reiterate that the long arm of the law will catch up with elements who take to various acts and criminality. Let everybody collectively remain vigilant and report suspicious activities of such individuals to security agencies.”
