In a bid to fashion appropriate
responses to the grievances of some members of the party, including the G7
governors, President Jonathan has set up three committees.
The committees, legal, political and
contact, were put in place shortly before the president departed for a state
visit to Kenya, on Thursday.
“The committees are working. I am
aware they were mandated to immediately fashion out ways of containing insurgency
within the party and also to state appropriate response to contain the
aggrieved members, especially if they continue to resist peace options,” a
source said.
