Text Of Press Conference Delivered By The National Chairman Of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, CON At The PDP National
Secretariat On Wednesday, September 4, 2013
Gentlemen of the press, you are aware of the current developments in our great party. Our reason for being here is to inform you without any iota of doubt that the Peoples Democratic Party has no faction and there is neither room nor reason whatsoever for such a claim under any guise.
The PDP has only one duly elected National Executive Committee (NEC) under my Chairmanship. I wish therefore to state with all emphasis that any group of persons parading themselves as leaders of NEC or any other organ of our party are impostors and I urge all Nigerians, especially the security agencies and other institutions of democracy to regard them as such.
Let me state categorically that the PDP as the sole custodian of the sacred mandate of over 160 million Nigerians and who in the last fourteen years has lifted high the banner of democracy will not fold its arms while some undemocratic and unpatriotic elements destroy our common destiny by causing divisions and confusion among the people.
Consequently, we shall ensure that any person who is not duly elected into any leadership position in our great party and has not been duly assigned any role but goes ahead to arrogate such to himself will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
Similarly, all persons elected on the platform of our great party at all levels who identify with these enemies of the oneness and greatness of our party shall have their seats declared vacant as required by law.
We shall leave no stone unturned to ensure that such persons and indeed any other individual who attempts to subvert the leadership of the PDP shall reap in full, the consequences of such actions.
I wish to emphasize that the PDP has adequate mechanism for internal conflict resolution. All party members are therefore advised to ventilate their grievances through this medium.
There is only one lawfully recognized PDP and I am firmly in charge.
Thank you and may God bless you
Alhaji (Dr) Bamanga Tukur, CON

ReplyDeleteRIP to PDP! We will try not to miss you... hahahahaaa
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ha the end Of PDP has come thank god!
ReplyDeleteThe faces of liars!
ReplyDeleteWhile I refuse to sympitise with the original pdp iam not as well amuse by the so call new pdp led by ingrate ex vp.na wahala de wait for una.
ReplyDeletePDP is nigeria's enemy
ReplyDeleteCategorically speaking, the PDP chairman is making ways and moves 4 the aggrivated governors to leave d party to join d opposition and in d end it will costly damage Jonathan chance of winning d 2015 election as d sitting president. U don't just Jokewith this Northern governors bcus they av a game plan and dey re backed by chief olusagun obansajo
ReplyDeleteBamangar Tuka, Tukur is a jester. Ask Jonathan, he knows there is wahala! This is not the case or 16 is greater than 19! At the end of the whole saga,Tukur will be sacrifice for Jonathan!
ReplyDeleteYou just need to your house in order and stop washing your dirty lilen in public. Don't allow material gain and power tear you all into pieces. Power belongs to God. PDP. PDP. PDP POWER. POWER. POWER.
ReplyDeleteTukor has just shown apparently that he is not a politician but a business man who came into politics to better the lots of his business. This press conference can aggravate the whole reconciliation process. My candid advice to Jonathan is to accept the conditions given by the 7 governors end his tenure peacefully ,retire to spend all the trillions that that he has stolen or else he will be disgraced out of office.
ReplyDeleteLate Yaradua once said 'PDP will be in power for the next 50 years" lets watch and see.
ReplyDelete"I dey laff o"
ReplyDeleteAbi na
DeleteI learnt d PDP certificate of registration dey miss
ReplyDeleteI go laff oooo...
ReplyDeleteMr Bamanga as far as nigerians are concern there is a faction in PDP and your PDP which you are the chairman are undemocratic so you better step down and allow the real democrats to take over the party. We nigerians are with the new PDP
ReplyDeleteWe nigerians are with the new PDPN GEj you better accept the 4 condition
ReplyDeleteNa una be God?let show and see mi pple.if dey like let den give 14 condition. Wht will be will be weather U̶̲̥̅̊ pple or devil like it or not.
ReplyDeleteMy chairman apsect it we have two PDP in nigeria nw d greatest problem of PDP is you.
ReplyDeleteIf mr goodluck start he own make una nor shout oh...una say he waek make una go ask ibori wetin e do am...
ReplyDeleteIs Tukur threatening to arrest d new PDP men?I see veiled threats ke.
ReplyDeleteTukur is a foolish old man,did he think he is talking to his wife n children. He doesn't dis people are greater than him n they are even elected n recognise by our constitution,d office he is claiming is just a party office not a Nigerian elected position
ReplyDeletePikin Deceive Papa or Papa Deceive Pikin =PDP.
ReplyDeleteWho is credible among you all? You are all making noise and working in your own interest and not that of the common man. Shameless pple. We are tired and sick of these arrays of lies , for decades.

ReplyDeleteAll of u who v commented r very stupid jonathan must continue in power if u dnt 4 him nigeria wl separate is lik u r not seeing d handwritting on d wall
ReplyDeleteTukur Is a Novice in politics
ReplyDeleteTukur statement reminds me of PDP former Chairman ,Ali the garrison commander ..Speaks before he thinks
ReplyDeleteThis PDP Chairman is a fool, what will he do..How can he say he will declare their seats vacant..Which constitutional provision provides for that or has he forgotten that the governors have immunity?..Mumu
ReplyDeleteJonathan will surely win another election in this country because we dont have another tested alternative and credible candidate that can oppose him. I guess they want to take him for granted because he is a gentle man. Atiku and other so-called miscrant governors are serious comedians, they should look out for what the real PDP will do them. The riot act has just been read to them and i belief they just want to test their popularity, however they are baseless with no substance.
ReplyDeleteD down fall of a man is not d end of his life but i can assure u dat d down fall of PDP is d end of their existance. Its a pity dey hv 2end now dat our own broda is ruling. My advise 4Tukur is dat he shld retire & go home. His old 4cryn out loud, dey are d cos of Jona down fall.
ReplyDeleteWit election or no election, if GOD say yes He (Jonathan) wil remain on d sit.we should be praying 4gud 2 nigeria, every person has his own destiny 2 fulfil in dis world. & when d time is over u must return 2d final distination.
ReplyDeleteJonathan made it 2007 to Aso Rock thru His Grace alone. Now he & wife hv abandoned that way, now fighting it themselves, applying ungodly counsels, victimising perceived enemies, perverting justice, destablized Rivers state & RSHA, etc. bcos of 2015. Obviously 2015 foundation is not being laid this way.
ReplyDeleteArrant nonsence press release.
