Arik Air Stow Away Boy Released By SSS,Refused Access To Parents

The Department of State Security Service (SSS), on Tuesday, returned to Benin City stowaway teenager, Daniel Oikhena, and handed him over to the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
The 13-year-old, who, penultimate Saturday, hid in the wheel well of an  Arik Aircraft from Benin to Lagos, had been detained in the custody of the SSS in Lagos before he was released yesterday.
The teenager was handed over to ministry officials at about noon on Tuesday amid tight security, even as the teenager’s mother, Mrs Evelyn Oikhena, was denied access to him.

After efforts to see her son failed, Mrs Oikhena angrily told journalists : “I was not allowed to see my son at the SSS office. I went there but they said they had taken him to the Ministry of Women Affairs. I was given a number to call but I have been calling the number with no response. I am waiting to hear from them. I miss my son and I want to see him.”
It was further learnt that the ministry officials were making arrangements for the boy to meet with Governor Adams Oshiomhole yesterday before they take further action.
Also yesterday,  the teenager’s father, Mr Osaigbovo  Oikhena, showed up to say his own side of the story.
Oikhena,  who said he was a commercial driver, told journalists at Government House, Benin City, that he was not sick, but got separated from his family, about a year ago.
Oikhena, who refused to disclose the cause of his quarrel with his wife, stated that he moved out of the family home a year ago, when he could not cope with the finances and moved to a different apartment that he could afford.
The man, who said he resides at 66, Ayo-Bello Street, Off Siluko Road, Benin City, said “I used to pay the school fees of my children and provide food for them regularly contrary to claims that I abandoned my family. When I moved to the place I am presently staying, my wife refused to come with me.”
He said he was not allowed into the Governor’s Office when  his wife was invited, adding that he came to Government House on the invitation of his wife. He added that they were not divorced.

You people should fear God and mind the way you talk or comment in some matters!what is the offence of a poor bus driver who keft a more costly accomodation to the one he can pay instead of stealing or going into kidnapping BUT his wife refused to follow him to his new abode? Please stop castigating this man called Osaigbovo,I wish you know the meaning of this name. The boy is the type that God want the world to know that is why he survived all odds from Benin to Lagos even with all the AIR or wind,He made it so let's pray for him and see what he will become in the nearest fucture
