With the imposition of curfew on the three North East States of
Yobe,Adamawa and Borno State,a group known as the civilian JTF sprang up in Borno
State. Mostly made up of local Youths who were used by the soldiers to fish out
known Boko Haram members and their sponsors. Initially the action yielded
fruits as several members of the dreaded group were fished out, some of them
hitherto not known to the military men. The youths were not armed.
But of
late several of these youths have been target and killed by Boko Haram, members.
Over 30 were killed in one sweep recently, raising the question, if these young
groups should be disbanded or given military protection in the course of their
assignment. Today, we are asking if you support the call for the disbandment of
the group or should they be well fortitude to carry on with their assignments.

They play a very vital role in the war against terrorism in the north east because these villains are their brothers, neighbours, friends Ąπϑ colleagues Ąπϑ so they know them better than the army could ever hope to. I think they need protection. My fear lies in the possibility of this group being transformed themselves into a different form of terror in future.
