Taraba State Governor Danbaba Suntai, who
is undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in an air crash, is expected
back from the United States on Sunday.
Suntai’s wife,
Hauwa, said on the telephone that her husband would depart the Sea View
Hospital Rehabilitation Centre and Home in New York for home on Sunday.
She said
arrangement had been concluded for the return of the governor, who has spent
months at the U.S. Rehabilitation Centre.
He had earlier been
treated in a hospital in Hannover, Germany where he was taken after the last
October 25 air crash.
Suntai, a holder of
a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), flew the Cessna 208 aircraft that crashed as it
approached landing at the Yola Airport.
Five others were on
board.
