Delta state is ready to host BON 2013. This was confirmed at the just concluded press unveiling of BON Award which took place at Yellow Chilli GRA ikeja on the 12th of August 2013 by Mr Ferguson Atakere the Representative of the Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Delta State Mr. Richard Mofe Damijo which he said, To us in Delta, it is important we develop Nollywood especially with the way the filmmakers have gradually turned our state to the Hollywood of Nigeria, it is on record that an Average of 300 films are shot yearly in Asaba because we have given the Producers the right Environment and also because our state is safe from Armed robbery and kidnapping and our people are extremely friendly.
Speaking at the event is the Executive Producer BON Award Seun Oloketuyi, So far the journey has been tough for Best of Nollywood but we have stayed focused because we believe that Nollywood, as big as it is should have a befitting reward system which will yearly and properly celebrate the achievement and hard work of these movie stars. Our vision and dreams are huge but we believe that we shall get to a stage where the Best of Nollywood Awards will be a global event with the help of cooperate Nigeria.
Also present at the Event was the AGN President Ibinabo Fiberesima who happens to also come from the Niger Delta region said her people where ready for as many that will be attending the Award proper come November 9th 2013.

Guinness Book of Records to Certify World Longest Red Carpet at BON Award 2013
The stage is set for the biggest Gathering of Nollywood stars as the 5th Edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards will hold in Asaba on the 9th of November 2013 at the Prestigious 5000 seater Dome where this year Awards will hold after months of Discussions with top officials of the state.
Apart from the Awards, we will be setting a record for the longest Red Carpet in the world also on the 9th of November 2013, A dream we have had since 2010 but could not happen then because of technical hitches but this time around we are flying Adjurators from the Guinness book of world records from UK to help ensure all goes well and the record is broken and so all that we attend will walk on the Carpet.
Overall, it will be a better Awards and Events managed by world-class Event Managers and with world class standards in mind, Already the first stage of the Awards has started with Nollywood filmmakers jostling to be part of the Awards have submitted their movies which is being screened at the moment and the nominees list will be released on 7th of September 2013 for the Awards.
