I wish to go a bit spiritual today since our cries have
been ignored by our leaders. Is it not better for us to call on almighty God to
intervene in the crises of conflict and confidence between us and those that
rule over us.
Our leaders who deliberately are out to cause and
inflict us pains. Who have made us domestic servants in our fathers’ house? .Leaders
who have made us paupers in our fathers house full of bounties. Who have
collectively stolen our commonwealth and make the rest of us look haggard, without
any iota of hope.
Are you saying I shouldn’t hand over the fate of
Nigerian leaders into the hand of almighty God and Allah?.
Or how do we explain the plight of a country full of
riches and splendor. With all the natural resources that can make life
meaningful for all.
How do we explain the plights of Nigerians from Lagos
to Sokoto, Kano to Calabar, Ilorin to Benin, Owerri to Abeokuta, Yola to
Maraba, Markurdi to Port Harcourt etc.
It’s the same story and to think that Nigerians are a
set of patient people is the most annoying part of it. Most of our leaders
cannot inflict the kind of pains they give us in other climes without a
revolution.
What are we asking for: good roads, clean water, hospital, electricity, jobs
and good education.
With these ,we are ready to close of eyes to all their lootings.
They will not only loot what belongs to us but even the on kept for our future
generation.
Nigerian leaders are the most selfish human beings on
earth..The stealing goes beyond being a Tiv man,Igala man,Igbo man,Yoruba man,Hausa-Fulani,Ibira
,Ijaw or even Efik.
It has nothing to do with South South or South East .It
has no bearing in being a Northerner or Southerner..They are all of the same.
Go through our local Government, States and even the
centre, governance is nothing to write home about.Y ou ll find them in Aso Rock,
Houses of Assembly,National Assembly, Government Houses and even in the
Judiciary.
They are all of the same making.
Since Independence, Nigeria have always had selfish
leaders who put their personal interest over and above the rest of us.
They steal what they need and those they don’t need .They
steal for themselves, their children, great grand children and even the ones
yet unborn.
They travel abroad weekly, see the way and manners
other countries are touching the lives of their citizenry, but cannot come home
to replicate same here due to their selfish interests.
Every year, billions of Naira are budgeted for infrastructural
developments with nothing to show for it.
The question I have always asked myself is, why it that
Nigerian politicians don’t fear God ?.
How come they are not aware that life is all about
vanity, how come they never realize that after here, they are answerable to a
greater creator?
How come all Nigerian politicians are all the same
irrespective of political inclination. You cannot distinguish a PDP politician
from that of ACN, labour party or CPC etc.
What Nigeria makes from oil sales daily is enough to
turn our country to another Dubai. We are by far, the richest country in Africa
. Our citizens are some of the most talented in the entire world.
We have a beautiful climate devoid of disaster. Our
land is rich in natural resources. All that is lacking are leaders with vision
and mission.
They continue to use politics and ethnic nationality to
divide us.
Nigerians generally love themselves. If you doubt me,
look out for the next football match involving Nigeria and other countries, you
will be shocked by how united we are.
The only annoying part of all these is that our leaders
know us inside out. They know how docile we are.
While other citizens of the world will take their
destinies in their hands and fight for their rights ,Nigerians will rather
prefer to LEAVE IT FOR GOD.Will God come down from heaven to help us?.Even the
word of God said, Heaven helps those who help themselves.
This piece should be a wakeup call for all of us, it’s
obvious that our so called leaders are only out to feather their nests. They
are only interested in their selfish interest.
Their interests lie in themselves and their families.
We should put our hands on the plough and ask for the basic amenities of life.
While they can go ahead looting and stealing, they should
not deprive us of some of the basic necessities of life which God has generally
put in their care for our collective good .
Even at that, Nigerian leaders should know that after here,
we will all account for our DEEDS on the last day.

ReplyDeleteWhat a good speech but to me we are all at fault. Nobody is ready to front the battle wat we kip saying is God will help us and we are dying in silence. I think it is high time we put sentiment, tribalism apart and we all fight a common goal by taken d bull by the horn may be there will be changes in the country.
ReplyDeleteIt all result in God's word which says "seek ye first d kingdom of God n its righteousness n all other things shall b added on 2 u" dont look on2 man but God.no perfect place on earth. Earth isnt our home,we're just passing by!!thank n appreciate God 4 d give of life n d little u hav, dont b envious!!!
ReplyDeleteSome how I think both Nigerian Journalists and Nigerian Leaders might end up at one same place.
ReplyDeleteI'm short of words!!! Infact, this is well spoken indEed... How I wish we can take this advice so as to change our mindset towards the goodness of Nigeria irrespective of tribe, religion, region or background, Arabs spream is enough for us to change that our direction statrting from our leaders down to the followers, something need to be done or else we will remain in abject poverty, to our so-called leaders u go to hell!!! A word is enough for a wise... Thank u the editor of the editors. God will bless u for this educative & wake up call for all!!! Umar Brigade
ReplyDeleteI love ds write up. I think there are no bad leders, but bad followers. We keep following ds leaders as if we can't backoff. If we can turn back and say NO. The leaders are striped of there posstion. We can only be a leader when u have follower.we have seen how many stood still and backout on there leaders and such leader was removed.all we need is a turn.
ReplyDeleteGood talk if we have bad leaders then Nigerians are stupid followers. If we decide to stop thinking about what devides us and think of what unites us then there is hope.Just like the speaker said this people are the same thing. And if we do not take our destiny in our hands then forget it.God can not do for us what we can do for our selves. But the truth is that I know my people.look at the fuel subsidy issue only one week and there was a devided house
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, well spoken speech...but then d average Nıgerıan ıs afraıd odawıse our problems wld long ave become problem of d past....who wıll be d fırst to come out and fearlessly and publıcly accused dese our so called leaders? No body!So.......hmmmmmmm,only God wıll help us
ReplyDeleteAlmighty Allah already in control, any1 that put everythin 2 his hand shld always believe dT he'll do it, but remember if wil try 2 protest it could lead 2 violence after they'll start killin us by their gun bcos if u talk 2 much d person wil die so far non of us are ready 2 die I think we shld put it 2 our creator of heaven and heart, nobody can kill him, so gradually he'll take care of it without violence or killin, my best opinion is to keep callin him 2 intervene but it'll take time for sure he knew all d leaders and he knew d next leaders.....so God interventn is d best.
ReplyDeleteNigerians complainants . The wealthest person in this contry is not a leader and have not lade . Who among us can confront his councilor ? Who among us can confront his lga treasurer ? Who among us can confront his lga party chiaman ? Who amoong us can confront his uncle , coursin ,sister , brother Aunty who is a pamsec who bcoms sudenly rich ? Who among us can confront our sons wifes , fathers wen they acquire wealth illigaly ? My point is wen we say curruption its not always about abuja or goverment houses . Let's us tell ourselves the truth . If we want to fight it let start from ouselfs let me also inform u that there more insincerity and curruption in private sectors, minstries .
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it why this picture of amaech and Jonathan over every issue ? Sobody tell me why ?
ReplyDeleteBcos both of them hv things in common, abi u want CkN 2 paste ur pix wt jonathan or Amaech
ReplyDeleteIf only the leaders will read this article and fear God Almighty. When they want our votes, they promise all the things listed out by the writer. After being voted in, they treat us like loosers. Time will come when God Almighty will deal with them just wait and see.
