This senator today prostrated before his people to apologise for voting for early child marriage..The Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Ayo Akinyelure apologised for voting in support of the child marriage bill.The people of Mr Akinyelure’s Senatorial District today staged a peaceful protest in Akure, the State Capital against the voting of the lawmaker representing them in the Senate for supporting the child marriage bill..He asked for forgiveness in what he termed "error of judgement on his part"..

ReplyDeleteI he apologising on behalf of the entire senate house of assembly or on behalf of him of himself, are they deaf to the yearning of Nigerians not in support of the bill they passed, why are they not acting fast and rather keeping quite? Why do they refused to vote against the removal of immunity clause? because they don't want to be disgrace. Why do they vote against 6years single term in office? because they want to remain and die in there. Well whether they do it or not, the one that will accomplish that dream will surely come, that prison they are afraid of is where they will end up

ReplyDeleteSecondly, age should also go back to d house nd start canvassing for d removal of that bill. Yerima is not greater than dis nation if 16>19 in NGF Election,if 5>27 in Rivers House of Assembly, Yerima can not be greater than Us in this Country. If a child below 18yrs can not VOTE then she can not MARRY. Akinyelure should start nd lead d protest in d House.
