Senate Rejects 6 Years Single Term For President,Governors

The Nigerian Senate this afternoon voted against the six years single term as being proposed in the newly amended constitution..66 Senators voted against it,14 voted for while one Senator abstained.Some other votes were the Independence of the State Electoral Commission as well as allocation of funds to LGA..The Senate also voted for the introduction of life Pension for all President and Deputy Senate President as well as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives..Full details later

  2. They have agreed on their life pension while over 80% of pensioners are still fighting their employers for their(retirees-private/public sectors)pension entitlements after years of retirement. I am afraid. This is another step to "do or die" politics in this country.
