Passenger Dies At Lagos Airport

A male passenger,on Sunday, slumped and died at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on his way to Owerri.
According to information gathered, the deceased arrived with his wife and his brother from London and was to board a domestic flight to Owerri when he slumped and died.
Inside source also disclosed that the deceased was also a diabetic patient who was wheeled out of the aircraft at the international terminal on his arrival from London, but on arrival at the GAT, he insisted that he would walk and as he walked to the check-in area, he slumped and died.
When his wife was asked why he was allowed to walk, though seriously ill, she said that he insisted on walking by himself.
This incident was confirmed by the General Manager, Corporate Communication of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr Yakubu Dati.
who said, “About 0600 hours, a transit passenger on his way to Owerri with his son and wife, slumped at the entrance of the departures (GAT).
He was immediately rushed to the aviation clinic where he was confirmed dead. The passenger’s wife and brother were with the deceased later preceded to Owerri.”
