Nigeria Gets 17 New SAN

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee LPPC on Friday, approved the appointment of 17 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), for the year 2013.
It is recalled that 44 legal practitioners were earlier invited for the interview.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja,the secretary of the Committee who is also the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Sunday Olorundahunsi, said that out of the successful candidates,16 are legal practitioners while one is an academic.
Those who made the list are: Adele Eberechi, Olumide Sofowora, Olufunke Aboyade, Uko Udom, Anthony Ani, Godwin Obla, Suraj Sa’eda, Anthony Anaenugwu and Joe Abrahams.
Others are Akinlolu Kehinde, Biriyai Dambo, Chukwuma-Machukwu Eme, Olalekan Yusuf, Moyosore Onigbanjo, Aliyu Abdullahi and Victoria Awomolo.
The only academic who made the list is Professor Lawrence Atsegbua of the Faculty of Law,University of Benin.
