Outspoken Pastor and the General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare who was once a member of Deeper Life church has condemned the punishment meted out by the church to pastor Kumuyi's son over his wedding, describing it as wicked. Said Pastor Bakare: “I personally did not see what they have done wrong. A man is entitled to his own authority in his own home.1st Peter Chapter 3. A wife should dress to please the husband and not the members of the church or public. It’s sheer wickedness to the couple, they should leave them to enjoy their honeymoon. They should not squeeze them to the modus operandi of a particular organization. I did not see anything wrong in the wedding. The bride was not naked or dressed inappropriately and the groom didn’t. Esther the queen was beautifully dressed in the bible to gain the king’s attention. They should not make mountain out of a molehill. I was in the Deeper Life Bible Church for five years and nobody compelled me to dress the way I dressed. My wife was with me in the church though we weren’t married then. She wears earrings and dresses nicely. All this talk about this couple should stop.”

ReplyDeleteLet me answer you. This type of church deeper christain life okay. You should not belong to a church where u cannot obey their doctrine. They did not compel u to be their member. Those of u calling the church names are not wise. Even the bible said u should obey your leaders. Obey rules and regulations. Why stay in the church when u know u don't like the doctrine. There are 1000 and 1 churches were u can even wed naked if u so desire....

I am sure Pastor Kumuyi will not comment on what happen in other churches this way. Anyway there is freedom for everyone to express his or her opinion. Everybody is free to belong to any church he or she likes.Check the net,there is a church where members worship naked and people are there.

As long as u are under spiritual covering of that church,it will be a sin of disobedience for u not to obey the doctrine.

In a church were u receive your spiritual blessings it is proper and necessary that u adhere to the doctrine of that church. If you feel that u cannot obey the doctrine u better leave the church and look for another. As long as u are under spiritual covering of that church,it will be a sin of disobedience for u not to obey the doctrine.

its hypocrisy for kumuyi to even offer to resign,if he knew they were commiting sin, he should have left dat wedding morning,seeing dat dey were dressed like dat.but he stayed from start to finish enjoying himself,he posed with dem and was all smiles as dey took thier photogragh.he s offering to resign was an after thought due to peoples comment,so it wont look as if dey have changed thier standard.if u knw ur rules are out dated change it,its man made rule not 10 commandment,it can be ammended.dey re using gadgets now,wearing good suit,good ride etc.dat lady went tru d marriage commitee,dey new her life style yet approved of their marriage.i here by order dat every body instrumental to dat weeding should be suspended also,for aiding and abetting.all of those elders should search dere heart if the trumpet sound will dey make it.wrong motive about sombody can take u to hell.dont forget God searches the heart.TO JOHN, PURSUE YOUR DESTINY UR CALLING MIGHT NOT BE IN DEEPER LIFE.ur father has fought d good fight of faith.to all deeper life youths dont worship GOD grudgingly rather join a church dat will lift ur spirit to GOD
