Report reaching CKN Nigeria from the five States of the South East showed an unpalatable tension hovering over the States over the directive of the Movement for the Emancipation of Biafra that all movement within the States will be brought to a stand still in protest over the continued killings of Igbos by Boko Haram terrorists in the North. The directive which was given some days back specifically directed that Saturday 8th June 2013 should be observed as a day of mourning for those that lost their lives and to bring the
world's attention to the plight of Igbos in the North. To this end,our investigation has shown that the major markets like the Ariara Market,Aba,Onitsha Main Market and other markets will be closed down. Also other businesses will also be paralyzed according to Massob Chieftains who spoke with CKN Nigeria. While most of the State government in the South East have asked their citizens to ignore the directive and go about their activities, most of them are not ready to defy the stay at home action since they are not ready to risk their lives and that of their love ones.Security agents said they are ready to forestall any break down of law and order and have warned Massob and its leadership to stop their illegal plan.Soldiers were seen by CKN Nigeria correspondents mounting road blocks at most of the cities and towns in the South East as at 3.45pm today..But for now, most people are making last minute purchases in readiness for the sit at home order.
