Uruguay
striker Diego Forlan celebrated his record 100th appearance by scoring the
winner as the South Americans beat Nigeria 2-1 to keep their Confederations Cup
hopes alive here Thursday.
Forlan lashed home a thunderous strike on 51 minutes to reignite
Uruguay’s hopes of reaching the semi-finals from Group B following their
opening defeat against world champions Spain on Sunday.
Uruguay had taken the lead through defender Diego Lugano in the
19th minute before Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel equalised for the Super
Eagles with a rare goal on 37 minutes.

ReplyDeleteDe goal-keeper is not doing well in dis comptition. But de players are good. And finishers are few with injuries also.
ReplyDeleteThe boys played it well. The probs seems to b there not being a finisher in the team. Ideye is good but he has proven to be better at supporting.
ReplyDeleteYes that is it a good finsher like their osaze and obafemi martinz we need bad guyz like those men .keshi try a lot for building a great team like that but he need to impose talented striker in pitch .
