Container fell on Segun,a Staff of Slot |
It was another gnashing of teeth today in lagos as a Police induced accident claimed some lives along the oshodi Iyana Ipaja Expressway.According to eye witnesses who witnessed the accident and spoke to CKN Nigeria at the spot, Policemen in an RRS Hilux Van with 333 inscription were trying to arrest an okada rider on the road, while doing that,a trailer loaded with Containers while trying to avoid the policemen and Okada, lost control and emptied its content as seen in this above picture. One of the containers fell on one of the vehicle belonging to Lagos State Meat Sellers Association. The driver was killed.A passerby by the name Samuel, seen in this picture ( a staff of Slot Phone) Computer Village Ikeja was also crushed in the accident as the container fell on him.The police immediately took to their heels and sped off .The accident caused severe traffic jam that spread over ten kilometers from Ikeja to Iyana Ipaja,Oshodi and Ikeja. The remains of the victims was still trapped under the containers when CKN Nigeria left the scene.Police induced accident have become the norms as men of the Police Force have always erected illegal road blocks across the country.
Tell us more if the police were chasing the container carrier! I think the police were after an okada man who broke the lagos state traffic laws n not after the container man?now you people are blaming the police here n talking of road blocks!let us stop castigating the police all the time!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteU well? R u sure u r ok? Cnt u read a simple write up,y r u twisting d whole tin. They said d police was after an okada rider nt d trailer wit container dumb.police do worse tins,y did they run away den? Its like u r a police man.

DeleteNigerian police force are always chasing shadows•see what they caused•RIP to the victims
ReplyDeleteAre u saying this because u are a police officer or you have a police man as a relative? Road block has been cancelled before due to illegal works of Nigeria police officers. They do work for their own pockets, not to serve the nation. If not, why did they pick the race when the accident happened.
ReplyDeletePls stop waste ur tyme it was done just say RIP.
ReplyDeletemay their soul rest in peace. And may God grant The Nigeria Police His Fear... AMEN

ReplyDeletePolice men should just take things easy, we no d Govt has ban okada riders, but must u go chasing them on d high way? On daily basis, we even see police men with their hilux van chasing okada rider in d streets of lagos.they hv even bcom padi wif lastma moving frm one location of lagos 2 anoda lukin 4 commercial drivers 2 arest, it is only God dat can reform d Nigerian police force. RIP
ReplyDeleteR I P
ReplyDeleteR I P with Lord Amen.
ReplyDeleteSetiments!!! What? Its rather unfortunate dat innocent one suffer,I wish d okada man dead instead.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who supports d Police in dis instance will be their next victim. Why should they endanger d lives of road users & passers-by just bcos they're pursuing one okada rider. Is d Law more important dan human lives? It's unprofessional! It's insane! It's madness, & it has got 2 stop. Pls lets respect & value life in dis shameless country!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe police in this country has taken law into their hands, they were not chasing the okada cos he broke the law but cos of the money they will make for themselves when they catch him.... Rip to the victims
ReplyDeleteThe policemen in this country have psychological problem; just because of 100 naira target from an okada man; they destroyed life and property worth millions. Their traffick unit would later wade in to blame the truck driver and also extort money from him and probably steal or divert the content of the container. There is a lot to reform about the police starting from their dirty dressing and speaking habit; the okada man was running because of fear of loosing all his earning of the day. Obasi JNR
