It was another gnashing of teeth today in lagos as a Police induced accident claimed some lives along the oshodi Iyana Ipaja Expressway.According to eye witnesses who witnessed the accident and spoke to CKN Nigeria at the spot, Policemen in an RRS Hilux Van with 333 inscription were trying to arrest an okada rider on the road,while doing that,a trailer loaded with Containers while trying to avoid the policemen and Okada,lost control and emptied its content as seen in this above picture.One of the containers  fell on one of the vehicle belonging to Lagos State Meat Sellers Association. The driver was killed.A passerby by the name Samuel,seen in this picture ( a staff of Slot Phone) Computer Village Ikeja was also crushed in the accident as the container fell on him.The police immediately took to their heels and sped off .The accident caused severe traffic jam that spread over ten kilometers from Ikeja to Iyana Ipaja,Oshodi and Ikeja.The remains of the victims was still trapped under the containers when CKN Nigeria left the scene.Police induced accident have become the norms as men of the Police Force have always erected illegal road blocks across the country.

  1. Tell us more if the police were chasing the container carrier! I think the police were after an okada man who broke the lagos state traffic laws n not after the container man?now you people are blaming the police here n talking of road blocks!let us stop castigating the police all the time!!!!!!!

  3. Are u saying this because u are a police officer or you have a police man as a relative? Road block has been cancelled before due to illegal works of Nigeria police officers.They do work for their own pockets, not to serve the nation.If not, why did they pick the race when the accident happened.

  6. Police force in Naija causes more damage dan good. I hate dem wit passion. Ok,look now! Accident happen police run! If dey were going on dia own & saw d accident, dey would hv stopped, but bcos dey were d cause of d accident, dey ran away. Na God go punish dem,IJN__ Amen. Ok now just take a look at d passer who went wit d accident! May d dead victims soul rest in peace.

  10. Police men should just take things easy, we no d Govt has ban okada riders, but must u go chasing them on d high way? On daily basis, we even see police men with their hilux van chasing okada rider in d streets of lagos.they hv even bcom padi wif lastma moving frm one location of lagos 2 anoda lukin 4 commercial drivers 2 arest, it is only God dat can reform d Nigerian police force. RIP

  13. Anyone who supports d Police in dis instance will be their next victim. Why should they endanger d lives of road users & passers-by just bcos they're pursuing one okada rider. Is d Law more important dan human lives? It's unprofessional! It's insane! It's madness, & it has got 2 stop. Pls lets respect & value life in dis shameless country!!!!!!!!

  15. The policemen in this country have psychological problem; just because of 100 naira target from an okada man; they destroyed life and property worth millions. Their traffick unit would later wade in to blame the truck driver and also extort money from him and probably steal or divert the content of the container. There is a lot to reform about the police starting from their dirty dressing and speaking habit; the okada man was running because of fear of loosing all his earning of the day. Obasi JNR
