Following the death of
Ibrahim Momodu on the 27th of May, 2013 in Benin City, Edo
State, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP MD Abubakar, CFR, NPM, mni has directed the Commissioner
of Police Edo State to take urgent and appropriate steps to unravel the real
circumstances that led to the death.
While restating his
Administration’s zero tolerance for any act that impinges on the fundamental
rights of all citizens, including the rights to life, IGP affirms that no stone
will be left unturned in the quest for the truth, stressing that the Force will
not condone any act of cover-up in the case.
The IGP condoles the
family, friends and colleagues of the late Ibrahim Momodu. He implores them to
remain calm and patient as the Force has put all hands on deck to ensuring a
quick dispensation of justice.

ReplyDeleteAll this olokpa them can mess up, one single level them no get..Here in Nigeria anything goes,if you disrespect a police officer you get shot. The next thing is you get placed on news with one old rusty pistol next to your dead body and they tag you as an Armed robber. God go purnish Naija criminal crooked corrupt police,Police no be ur friend oh!!!
