Dismissed Unity Bank Workers Gives Bank Ultimatum On Settlement

Disengaged staff of former Bank of the North, now Unity Bank PLC, numbering about 1, 000 have given the bank two weeks to pay in full the outstanding 50 per cent of their gratuity, pension and other liabilities or be picketed. Speaking to journalists in Gombe, leader of the group, Comrade Babayola Mohammed Isa, said they took the path of peaceful resolution so as not to aggravate the already existing insecurity situation in the northern part of the country.
