New Twist To Death Of 2 Zenith Staff Crushed By Trailer

Kayode Inside the wrecked Car

Late Kayode

A new twist has been added to the tragic death of two employees of Zenith Pension Ltd Victoria Island Lagos, who were crushed to death on Monday by a trailer in Lagos.
Initial report has it that the sad incident occurred on Monday night May 27th along Airport road in Mafoluku, Lagos. When a trailer carrying heavy duty rods lost control and fell on a car with three people inside.

The three occupants of the car, two men and a woman, were staff of Zenith Pension, Victoria Island.
The two men, Ovie and Sir Kay, lost their lives, while the lady survived with a deep cut on her head.

Rescuers managed to bring the lady out of the car that night after they heard her shouting as she was still alive, but the two dead men were left in the car wreckage until the following morning when their colleagues showed up at the accident scene.

But in a new twist to the story, two of Sir K  (Kayode Ogungbire) friends and colleagues said he was alive and left to die in the car .

According to one of them Otunba Dapo Ajilogba who spoke to CKN Nigeria last night, Kayode would have survived if he was attended to by good Samaritans.
Hear him “Kayode was my former colleague and friend. Very nice guy, always smiling. When his body was discovered yesterday morning (Tuesday), it was still warm. Which means he died an agonizing death.. No single emergency or critical rescue spot on that long stretch of road. In another country, they would have survived”.

Another friend of theirs, Princess Eyinoye had this to say to CKN Nigeria .
“ Kayode was left for dead, but he actually died the next morning around 7.am. He was abandoned in the car till the next day when he eventually died. May his soul rest in peace, what a callous nation where human lives are not cherished... he was a father of 3 kids-7,4 and 2yrs old”.

Their bodies have been deposited in the mortuary.

  9. WITH ALL THE TAX WE PAY IN LAGOS, WE STILL CANNOT HAVE EMERGENCY RESPONSE 24 HOURS. EVEN IF THEY WERE DEAD, IT IS VERY INHUMAN TO LEAVE THEM THERE TILL THE NEXT DAY.

When I heard the news of ur death everything stood still,I wept uncontrollable. This is another painful and tragic death. The story of my life is not complete without YOU, you did everything in ur power to get me my first and second admissions respectively even though it was not convenient n time was short. I remembered hw u will find time out of ur tight schedule to travel all the way from lagos to ife with me even at a short notice, U loved to add value to people's life especially when it has to do with education. I remembered on one of our journey we ran into a heavy traffic at the old lagos toll gate then he pointed in d direction of CMD(centre for management development) n said I v got cause to travel twice in a day To n Fro CMD n O. A. U ife to meet up with project deadline. And he summed it up by saying "with the number of emergency journeys risk and danger he's faced on d road during His B. Sc days, he thaught if He will die by accident but unfortunately Your life was cut short by accident. What an irony!!!I make bold to say openly that u added immense value to my life, u were one of my pathfinders. ....I pray that God give ur family the fortitude to bear this greatLoss Adieu Sir Kayode Ogungbire
