CONVENER
of Save Nigeria Group,SNG, and General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor
Tunde Bakare, has called on the Chairman of Subsidy Reinvestment and
Empowerment Programme, SURE-P, implementation monitoring team, Chief
Christopher Kolade to resign so that he can prevent his reputation from being
soiled by the current allegations of non- performance by the board.
He also regretted the delayed trial of
those alleged to have stolen fuel subsidy funds, arguing that it was an
indication that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had overbearing influence
over other arms of government.
Briefing newsmen yesterday in Lagos, Bakare
said the SNG would soon take a stand on the pardon granted to former Governor
of Bayelsa State, Chief Deiprieye Alamieyeseigha.
According to him: ‘’If people are saying
that the PDP is sharing the subsidy reinvestment fund, I would not be surprised.
If PDP does not share the money, who will? Do you think the PDP has good
intentions? I felt pity for Dr. Christopher Kolade when he was appointed to
head that committee.
He is a man with good reputation but
appointing him at 80 to head that committee, was a way of soiling his good
reputation. With the kind of allegations coming up on how the funds are being
managed, the best thing for him to do is to resign. I hope he withdraws or
resigns before he is messed up, because you cannot expect anything good from
the PDP.’’

Tunde Bakare, in the same vein Nigerians say to you:- You are messing up yourself and dragging the post of Pastor in the mud by your involvement in this dirty game and your unbridled utterances that do not befit an anointed of our Lord and Saviour. Please realize that Christians in Nigeria pity you as our God cannot be ridiculed or mocked. There is little that has not died but is about to. Salvage it if you care to. Or just drop the label and move on with your chosen lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteBeing a pastor doesn't exonorate you from been concerned about your country. If we all keep quiet who's going to talk? Are we going continue taken nonsense from our leaders?
DeleteRight from when we have records, a pastor exercises his concerns for his nation in other ways. He is not expected to pitch his tent as an opponent, striving against the leaders physically. The bible, which Tunde Bakare should respect says let's us know that the weapons of our warefare are not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds. Casting down imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ".
DeleteWhilst we are not expected to keep quiet, every part of a body has the way they were made to react. The eyes water, the nose runs, the mouth drinks water, when you eat peppery food. The hand supplies the water, and the mouth drinks it! The brain simply coordinated these events. And let me ask, whenever there is an issue in the body of Nigeria (like the peppery issue to a human body illustrated above) what do activists do? Most times their revolution leads to death of Nigerians again!
Tunde Bakare is free to be an activist, but he should stop labelling himself as a pastor at such times. The same source cannot spring out cold and hot; sweet and bitter.
Why?Is it bcos he has said the truth which is his responsibility as a man of God that you are condemning him?
ReplyDeletePls always think before talking, to avoid God's anger in the name of politics(PDP)?
A man @ 80 should kwon what befit him, at their age they ought to be given advice. And. If they are still taking up appointment at 80 it means what they have done in the past Is questionable
ReplyDeleteTunde Bakare should simply remove the log in his own eyes first. It is ok to advise but Other men of God are praying for our nation. That is their responsibility. Officiating team in football don't join the players on the field!! #nuffsaid...
ReplyDeleteHey, Omo Ibadan, he is old enough 2 be Ur father. No insults!!
ReplyDeletePastor Okay, thank you. But if u wanna be an activist, be an activist. If you want to be a pastor, be a pastor! There is no sitting on the fence. Leave one and hol one nah, haba!!###smh
ReplyDeleteDis is d problem we making in dis country. We live politics 4 evil and devilish pple. why did we expect something gud 4rm devil and his agents? Wht is wrong if a Pastor is involve in active politics? Politics should be d game of men wit gud reputation which men of God is nt excluded. Let's make politics Godly in Nigeria and evil men and women will give way....
ReplyDeleteIf I condemn Tunde Bakare , I am justified because God said "touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm"..Tunde is an activist .
ReplyDeleteAt least we have a pastor who is not afraid to say the truth. Some others are only intrested in inviting President Jonathan to their churches without being honest with him as regards the governance of the country. Keep saying truth Pastor Tunde Bakare.

ReplyDeleteThis man called Bakare or whatever he calls himself should just respect himself for once and focus on his calling.I wonder what he teaches in his church
ReplyDeleteStop accusing Bakare. The question is, "is he saying the truth or not?" leave His personality and True character for God to judge.
