The monthly environmental sanitation exercise
which holds every last Saturday in most States of the federation has been canceled
today due to the Joint Admission Matriculation exam taking place across the
country today.
CKN Nigeria check in States like
Lagos,Rivers,Ekiti,Delta,Ogun,Enugu and the Federal Capital Territory etc showed that
there were no restriction of movements.
Other States of the Federation also
relaxed the restrictions to allow most students get to their examination
centres. The Monthly environmental sanitation exercise was introduced by the
Buhari/Idiagbon Military government as part of the War Against Indiscipline programme
in the 80s as a way of keeping the environment clean. Subsequent governments
have retained the scheme since then.
