Telecommunications company, Globacom, yesterday rewarded Super Eagles’ Coach Stephen Keshi with car gifts for his Africa Nations Cupwinning feat in South Africa in February.
The elaborate ceremony which took place at the company’s corporate headquarters in Lagos was attended by stakeholders that include representatives of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) .
The 2013 Range Rover Sport HSE SUV and Toyota Corolla 2013 model were presented to Keshi by Globacom’s Chief Operating Officer, Mohammed Jameel.
Keshi, accompanied by his assistant, Sylvanus Okpala, as well as Eagles’ midfilder, Sunday Mba and defender Godfrey Oboabana, beamed with smiles as he received keys to the cars in the presence of the media.
Jameel, who spoke at the occasion, reiterated Globacom’s support for the national team, saying the car gifts were the fulfillment of the company’s chairman, Chief Mike Adenuga’s pledge to reward the coach’s excellence.
“The car gifts are just our reward for a job well done,” Jameel said. “We will continue to partner with the Super Eagles and always do our own part in supporting them to greater heights.”
Keshi expressed delight with the honour, even as he suggested that the donor extend same to his assistants Daniel Amokachi and Okpala.
“I don’t mean any harm by this humble suggestion but I hope Globacom understand my stand,” Keshi explained.

ReplyDeleteAdenuga is just running a family bussines , what ever he thinks right to him he does.. Keshi did well to bring them to orders. U give a gift to the coaching crew and not d chief coach alone that is how it should be done. If u Adenuga want to give a gift to Keshi that one is ur own cup of tea.
